To give families of children with special health care needs a relief from their responsibilities by providing one to one care for their child within or outside the home by implementing a safety and service plan as approved by the CEDARR.
Provide family with a relief from caring for their child with special health care needs.
Carry out specific tasks outlined in the respite safety and service plan.
Provide required documentation to coordinator in a timely manner as in timesheets and incident reports.
Provide safe one to one care per the plan for children with special health care needs as directed by parents/caretakers.
Perform all necessary self-care tasks as needed by the individual supported.
To be determined by each family per State regulations. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Drivers must have current vehicle registration and valid State inspection, no prior accidents within one year and no history of driving under the influence. All duties will vary depending on the specific needs of each child. Parent/caretaker will provide all training specific to their child. Safety plan must be reviewed and implemented when necessary. Able to work with minimal supervision.
